Livestock Events

Livestock Judging Clinic
May 21st

This event will be held at the NCSU Beef Educational Unit, and is open to any youth interested in learning about livestock judging.  We will cover Meat Goats, Sheep, Swine, and Beef Cattle.  Cost is $15 per youth and includes lunch, handouts, and a CD with additional materials.
 
NC Junior Beef Roundup
June 4-5
This event will be held at the NC State Fairgrounds, and is open to any youth.  This includes a Skillathon Contest, Poster Contest, Photography Contest, Ultimate Heifer Makeover, Showmanship, Breeding Heifer and Market Steer Show.  Youth do not have to be exhibiting cattle to participate in the Skillathon, Poster, or Photography Contest.

June 27-29, State 4-H Livestock Contests (Entries due June 17)

June 27, Practice classes of livestock available at the NCSU Beef Unit.
June 28, State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest
June 29, State 4-H Skillathon Contest
