Upcoming Livestock Committee Meeting

Dear Hertford County 4-H Livestock Families~

Thank you to those who attended the recent Hertford-Northampton-Bertie
Livestock Show and Sale Committee meeting. At this committee meeting
it was decided that the Livestock Show and Sale will be held on
Wednesday, April 27, 2010. We would like to invite you to attend our
next committee meeting to learn more about the details of this change.
Our goal is to make sure that everyone is prepared for this change in
2011.

Cloverbud Discovery Day!



Please plan to come join the fun! Participants will have a great
time learning more about 4-H at this fun day camp especially designed
for cloverbuds.  Youth will participate in fun, hands-on educational activities related to health and nutrition, science, and environmental education.

 
Date: November 11, 2010

Time: 9:00 am until 5:00 pm

Location: Hertford County Extension Office
(301 W. Tryon Street, Winton)

Ages: 5-8 year olds

Cost: FREE! Call 358-7822 to register!
Program material and snacks will be provided but youth should bring a bag lunch.

Registration Deadline: November 8, 2010

***A new 4-H enrollment packet must be
completed to participate.***

Sarah Osborne, State 4-H Secretary-Treasurer and Alamance 
County 4-H'er is in the top 10 for Out Here Magazines 4-H 
Memories Contest.  The website states, "The top vote-getter 
will receive a $1,000 Gift Card from Tractor Supply, plus 
a prize pack from the National 4-H Council, 
along with a featured spot in the Winter 2010 issue of 
Out Here magazine. Two runners-up each will receive a 
$500 Tractor Supply Gift Card and prize pack from the 
National 4-H Council, plus a spot Out Here magazine."
