Afterschool Program at Ridgecroft

Are these forest products?  Youth at the Ridgecroft Afterschool Program participate in a Project Learning Tree lesson on forest products.

Project Learning Tree Program

A Project Learning Tree Program was provided for the Ridgecroft Afterschool Program.  Youth learned about forest products and what our world would look like if we didn't have any trees.

Dedication Event at the 4-H Center

The Official Ribbon Cutting and Dedication of the Eastern 4-H Center's Conference and Recreation Hall will be tomorrow beginning at 2:00 pm.  Please join us for this event.

NC Beef Ambassador Program

The NC Beef Ambassador Contest is coming up, it will be in Hickory on Feb. 18, with registrations due by Feb 1.  This is a great program for youth that are interested in beef.  The senior winner gets a trip to the national contest, and cash prizes for senior and junior are listed on the website.

Hungry to Help!

Thanks to the Elizabeth S. Parker Memorial Library for your partnership with 4-H Hungry to Help! 67 pounds of food were collected for struggling families in our area. Thanks to our community members who helped with this service project.
